Design and hand-stitch a contemporary wall hanging built from simplified tulip forms and quiet geometry. Working within a fixed format and restrained palette, the composition develops layer by layer — through placement, adjustment, and steady stitching.
The structure holds the focus. The repetition sets the pace.
What emerges is a finished textile piece — and the clarity that comes from building something coherent, one deliberate decision at a time.

Over four Tuesdays, we will design and construct a contemporary appliqué wall hanging built from simplified tulip forms and quiet geometry.
We begin with a single ground cloth. From there, shapes are placed, adjusted, and stitched into position. Color is chosen carefully. Proportion matters. The composition develops gradually — one decision at a time.
Each session adds a layer: establishing structure, introducing contrast, refining rhythm, and resolving the whole. Everything is stitched by hand.
By the end of the series, you will have a finished wall piece — composed, balanced, and complete — along with a clearer sense of how form organizes space.
Live online.
