MCI Workshops: Stitching Presence Into Everyday Life

Grounding with fiber and natural materials

Come as you are. Bring a scrap of cloth, a thread, a needle, a little time. Leave with a lighter heart, a steadier rhythm, and maybe a small piece of handwork to carry forward. Let us guide you in stitch, color and rhythm. Just hands moving, breath steady, and space for yourself.

Our Philosophy
Let’s not copy a pattern and hope it turns out. Let’s not rush to hem and glue and get out the door.

At MCI, we hold space for slowing down. One process at a time — a stitch, a fold, a knot — and we see what’s possible. Maybe stitching is already part of routine, maybe it brings up feelings for you, it's something you haven't done in a while. Or maybe you're holding a needle for the first time. You're in the right place.

Each workshop is a pause, a reset, a small pocket of creative presence in the middle of your week.

Why Fiber?
Fiber carries your memories. Maybe your grandmother hemmed a dress, maybe you once patched your jeans, maybe you’ve never sewn a thing. It doesn’t matter. Fiber forgives, it bends, it absorbs. And we can feel it.

Working with fiber is timeless, tactile, grounding. With ease, steady — one stitch, one knot, one layer at a time. In those small spaces, something opens. In those moments, beauty has time to arrive.

How It Works

  • Live online via Zoom (90–120 minutes)

  • Small, steady projects designed to fit your life

  • Use what you already have — we’ll send you a simple material list

  • Join live or catch the replay whenever you need a pocket of stillness

When your hands feel fibers, your mind feels safer.
When your stitches are even, your attention expands.
This is how we find presence, being with each moment of making.

Join us for a season of workshops that invite stillness, creativity, and connection — one thread at a time.
