This workshop introduces needlepoint through a reductionist study of color interaction.
Working on canvas with a limited palette and a contained square format, we explore how adjacent tones influence depth, weight, and perception. Inspired by Josef Albers’ investigations into color relativity, the focus is not decoration but relationship.
The stitch remains consistent. The structure remains fixed. What shifts is the way color behaves within repetition.
Needlepoint, in this context, becomes a method of building surface deliberately — one stitch at a time.
You will leave with a small finished panel and a clearer understanding of how rhythm, constraint, and color create visual tension and balance.

Use what you already have. The stitches are simple, the focus is presence, not perfection.
For anyone who wants to slow down, enjoy a mindful pocket of creativity, and prepare for the season ahead with something made by hand. No experience needed — just a willingness to sit, stitch, and notice.
